Virtual Open Day

Welcome to our ‘Sixth Form Virtual Open Day’

An important aspect of the School’s Sixth Form is to prepare students for the next stage of their education and life beyond school. Our Sixth Form offers a wide variety of A Level and BTEC qualifications. The Woodroffe Sixth Form is already seen as the natural choice for students moving up from the main school. We also welcome applications from students currently attending other schools. Here you will find all the information you should need to enable you to make an informed decision regarding your post 16 study.

The links below provide all the information you would normally receive during our Open Evening including pop up videos from the Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form, Deputy Head of Sixth Form and our students, the School Handbook, Sixth Form Prospectus and the latest school newsletter, ‘Rough Notes’. This latest edition of Rough Notes gives a snapshot of the whole academic year of 2019/2020 showing the many fun and interesting activities our students are able to take part in.

Choosing subjects for A Level study can be a tricky process. Some subjects are significantly different at a higher level in both content and assessment pattern; other subjects are completely new at A level. The purpose of our prospectus is to provide information about the subjects and specifications to help you make an educated choice. If you require any further help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on 01297 442 232 and ask for our 6th Form Administrator Mrs Marmion or email 6formadmin@woodroffe.dorset.sch.uk.

This link will take you directly to the Sixth Form Application page. The deadline is February 5th 2021.
