The September 2011 The Woodroffe School was judged as Oustanding by Ofsted. More recently we were congratulated for our 'very high standard of achievement in the English Baccalaureate in 2015'.
We were a local winner in the key stage 4 category of the Pupil Premium Awards 2016. The reason for this award is that we were one of the most improved schools in the country in terms of the attainment and value added progress of our disadvantaged pupils since 2012. Also, an above average percentage of our disadvantaged pupils achieved the EBacc in 2015.

The sixth form is part of an 11-19 experience in the school and is integral to the school ethos.
Students feel safe and report that the school is able to deal with issues they have quickly and effectively.
Students with special educational needs and/or disabilities are catered for very well, with increasing success academically and the good progress they make is increasing rapidly.
The strong school community extends beyond the school gates.
Teaching, at its best, is truly inspiring.
Students recognise the hard work of staff and appreciate the wide range of diverse opportunities available.
Attainment is high and students enjoy learning.
The school has a highly effective, cooperative culture, with relationships between students and staff being very positive.
Sixth-form students around the school are exceptional role models.
Students’ artistic, sporting, cultural, moral and spiritual development is outstanding.
Exam success has increased steadily and continues to rise. There is a strong trend of improving attainment in the school.
Behaviour in lessons and around the school is exceptional.
The Woodroffe School is highly successful and has clear ambitions to develop further.
