Architect Speaks at Sixth Form Core Session

Robert Battersby, an architect from Architectron in Bristol, came into school recently as part of the sixth form Core Sessions, to speak to the group about the new learning space extension that is due to be built in Lyme Regis.

Robert passionately explained his role as an architect and how diverse and varied the job was. He showed numerous models of the extension that had been made whilst working out the new design, and gave reasons about why the models were so important in the development.

The students have been offered the opportunity to visit the site as building progresses and some of the sixth form photography film makers have already expressed a keen interest in making another documentary, which will follow the progress of the new build.

The build will begin in September 2016 and should be completed by June 2017.
