Heritage Matters Competition

The Lyme Regis Society, The Town Mill and The Lyme Regis Museum recently sponsored a competition called Heritage Matters in which students from local schools were encouraged to create a painting or drawing or write something like a poem or story, or even take a photograph to express their love of Lyme to someone who didn’t know about Lyme’s special history.

The first prize and overall winner was Polly Howarth-Yates from Year 10 who displayed an outstanding piece of work which impressed the judges and the curator of the museum so much they asked if they could display it in the museum after Arts Fest. The two highly commended students in the senior category were Rowena Tyte and Amber Kilsbie. Well done to all those students who entered the competition.
