As part of Jurassic Coast Teaching Schools Alliance, the Woodroffe School have been awarded a grant to help improve ‘Cultural Education’ throughout its partner schools Art departments.

On Thursday 17 October 2013 over 20 teachers, headteachers and representatives from art organisations from across Devon, Dorset and Somerset, came together to discuss and share ideas about how this funding could be spent and give the biggest impact on their students (both at Primary and Secondary level).

An exciting number of activities and events were discussed including a number of film making opportunities with local organisations and trips and projects in collaboration with English Heritage.

The group will now work together to see how the activities can be written into their school curriculum and we look forward to reporting on these amazing opportunities later in the year.
