July 2012

12 Year 10 students from Woodroffe School spent the day at St. Michael’s Primary, where the whole school were involved making either colourful flying birds, flags, banners or musical shakers that they could hold and wave when the Olympic torch came through Lyme. The Woodroffe students have just embarked on their Silver Arts Award, which is a nationally recognized qualification that encourages young people to get involved in the arts through active participation.  For the leadership part of the award the students had to plan and run art activities for a whole class of children.

All the students had put a lot of effort into planning the day for their class and this really paid off as the results were fantastic.
