December 2011

On Saturday17th December, 14 local Primary School children attended a workshop in the seafront shelters at Lyme Regis, making Christmas decorations.

The workshop was organised and run by Lily Whitehead and Eve Waspe, two year 8 students. They were doing this for the leadership part of their Arts Award. Both girls are hoping to achieve a silver level.

The 2 girls demonstrated various sewing techniques, showing the children how to make their own felt decorations to hang up at home. Both Lily and Eve were really pleased with the way the workshop turned out, “It all ran really smoothly, the children enjoyed the activities and we received some very positive feedback from them. It was great being able to hold the event in the shelters, it was the perfect venue.”
