August 2012

This year’s Summer School organised by Mrs. Bowskill took place at the Hub youth club in Lyme Regis during the last week of the holidays.

The students who attended will all be starting year 7 in September. They enjoyed 4 days of art activities with the emphasis on creativity, developing skills and making new friends.

During the week sixth form students Hannah and Rosie, who are working towards their Gold Arts Award  worked with the students showing them how to make sculptures from driftwood and using printmaking to design their own board games.

Some comments from participants…

“It was great to learn some new skills”

“I loved using the glue guns to make sculpture”

“I made new friends and enjoyed the art”

“Can’t wait to do more art at Woodroffe”
