Woodroffe is now part of the Dorset Careers Hub which is a new and exciting initiative to try and further improve careers education for all students. Woodroffe has been confirmed as the West Cluster Lead School due to it’s reputation and progress in meeting the nationally recognised Gatsby Benchmarks.
Mr Holding, Head of Careers said:
“We have for many years been working to try and improve careers education at Woodroffe for all of our students. We aim to ensure that all students are made aware of all of the Post-16 and Post-18 routes and by encouraging participation in events such as Work Experience, Careers Week and Enterprise Day.
We have also encouraged the engagement of parents and former students through our Alumni and Parent helper schemes. I am proud that Woodroffe has been named the lead school for the west cluster and am delighted that Careers is attracting renewed investment. Careers is definitely a subject that all students need to learn in schools today.”
