Ten Tors Update – November 2018

With the 2019 Ten Tors event still many months away the training has started in earnest. While the final event will require students to walk in teams of 6 for 45 miles over rough terrain with full backpacks our first training event was a little easier. The students walked along the coast path from Charmouth to Eype’s Mouth. Despite the drizzly conditions (as shown the pictures), there were smiles all round and the students showed great potential. Training will continue after the February half term so I would urge those students who wish to continue with Ten Tors to keep the walking up over the winter.

A big thank you to Mr Walker, Mr Goodrick and Miss Geraghty for the support as well as the Eype’s Mouth Hotel for allowing 20 wet people sit inside and have hot chocolates! All very much appreciated.
