Children in Need 2017

We would like to say a huge well done to the Sixth Form prefect team for organising and running the 2017 Children in Need fundraising activities earlier this month. From a number of events that students could pay to watch, a cake sale and from payment for wearing non-school uniform, the team have raised just under £1,300!

One of the highlights from the day proved to be the Staff ‘v’ Students football match, which Mr Snowling and Mr Goodrick, were delighted to report that the staff won 8-7. Mr Goodrick was especially delighted as he had scored in the final few seconds.

In the staff cake baking competing one team’s spider cake offering was disqualified due to illegal pipe cleaners, which had been sourced from the Science department, having been sneaked onto the table and used as legs. Despite Mrs Kelly and Miss Keaney’s three amazing animal creations, the winners for their enchanted unicorn and devilish cat, were Miss Langley and Miss Trunks.

A fantastic fundraising day was had by both students and staff. Bring on next year!!
