Dinosaur Show

On a glorious sunny morning in October we had the most surreal entertainment on the school tennis courts provided by Emerald Ant performing their show the Iguanodon Restaurant. The show was performed in front of 350 students from KS3 and has been part of our work with the Lyme Museum during its extension. Much interest and curiosity developed throughout the morning prior to the show as a 35′ Iguanodon started to be created with students inspecting the beast during break time. The show was based on New Years Eve in 1853 when a group of paleontologists held a sumptuous banquet inside the 35’long mould of an Iguanodon.

In December artists and paleontologists sponsored by the museum and the arts council will be returning to school to develop the story further with a group of yr 7 students through a day of art workshops.
